The Jitterbit Harmony Zendesk Connector is accessed from the Connectivity tab of the design component palette:
This connector is used to first configure a Zendesk connection, establishing access to an account on the Zendesk server, and then used to configure one or more Zendesk activities associated with that connection as either a source or target within an operation:
Query Activity: Queries objects at a Zendesk connection and is used as a source in an operation.
Create Activity: Creates objects at a Zendesk connection and is used as a target in an operation.
Update Activity: Updates objects at a Zendesk connection and is used as a target in an operation.
Delete Activity: Deletes objects at a Zendesk connection and is used as a target in an operation.
The Zendesk connector uses the Zendesk v2 Support API.
(Zendesk has removed the Zendesk API Console. They recommend using Postman to explore the Zendesk Support API. See the page Exploring Zendesk APIs with Postman at the Zendesk developer website for details.)
The Zendesk connector requires the use of an agent version 10.1 or later.
Together, a specific Zendesk connection and its activities are referred to as a Zendesk endpoint. Once a connection is configured, activities associated with the endpoint are available from the Endpoints filter:
As the connection will be an application that interfaces with Zendesk, you will need to register as a developer at Zendesk.
You will need to create an API token at Zendesk:
Zendesk has detailed instructions on creating API tokens. Note that the control for creating a new token looks disabled, even though it is active.
NOTE: Take note of the company URL, email address, and associated API token, as these are required to configure the Zendesk connection.
